Honda, the Japanese carmaker, has pulled the wraps off its all-electric SUV for the European market. Dubbed the e:Ny1, it is the brand's second fully electric SUV, and it is styled similarly to the HR-V model. Last year, the new electric SUV was showcased as e:Ny1 prototype SUV at the European Media Event in Offenbach, Germany. The e:Ny1 appears to be a derivative of the e:NS1 and the e:NP1 electric SUVs that are available in the Chinese market, and it is the third model in the e:N series of SUVs. According to the manufacturer, the new SUV sits on the newly developed e:N Architecture platform, which is expected to be used in future models. As far as our home market is concerned, Honda is still focusing on hybrid and ICE-powered vehicles and has no plans to launch the new e:Ny1 in India.
