Infiniti unveiled the QX80 R-Spec concept at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, showing a drastic step forward in luxury SUV performance. The vehicle features a heavily modified 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine from the Nissan GT-R, delivering 986bhp . Infiniti's engineers equipped the engine with Garrett G-series turbochargers, custom intercoolers, and reinforced internal components to handle the power increase. The engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all wheels through an all-wheel-drive system.

This concept represents Infiniti’s effort to merge luxury SUV capabilities with Nissan’s high-performance division, offering a unique blend of comfort and power within the full-size SUV segment.
The QX80 R-Spec adopts a wider and lower stance compared to the standard model, featuring an aerodynamic body kit inspired by the GT-R T-Spec Takumi Edition. Its exterior is finished in Midnight Purple, a colour that enhances the body shape under different lighting conditions.

The rear bumper incorporates cutouts for a quad-exhaust system, signalling the vehicle’s performance focus. These design elements work together to improve aerodynamic efficiency and visual presence while maintaining Infiniti’s core styling.

To manage the enhanced performance, Infiniti re-engineered the chassis with upgraded components. The suspension system is a bespoke coilover setup aimed at providing precise handling. Stopping power is delivered by carbon ceramic brakes, while 24-inch bronze wheels wrapped in 315-section tyres ensure grip and stability.
The core of the QX80 R-Spec is its reinforced 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine. Infiniti strengthened the engine block, pistons, and connecting rods to guarantee reliability at 986bhp. Optimal cooling is provided by upgraded intercoolers, helping manage heat during extended performance.

The powertrain is paired with a nine-speed automatic gearbox and an advanced all-wheel-drive system to optimise power delivery and maintain drivability on various road conditions.
