The upcoming facelift of the Kia Carens has been spotted testing once again in India, this time in Hyderabad. The latest spy images reveal key design updates, including a refreshed front fascia and a new panoramic sunroof. While the test vehicle was camouflaged, visible changes suggest a redesigned grille, updated LED headlights, and a revised bumper for a more modern look. The interior is also expected to receive enhancements, potentially featuring new technology and improved materials. The updated Carens will likely continue with its existing powertrain options while incorporating additional features to stay competitive. With its launch anticipated later this year, the facelifted Carens aims to strengthen Kia’s presence in the MPV segment in India.

Kia Carens Facelift: Exterior and Interior Updates

Recent spy images suggest that the Kia Carens facelift will emphasise subtle design enhancements rather than a complete transformation. The spy shots from Hyderabad showcase an updated front profile, featuring a redesigned LED headlamp setup seamlessly integrated with a sleek LED light strip. The revamped model will also sport a reworked front grille with updated inserts, along with revised front and rear bumpers. Additionally, a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels is expected to improve its stance. At the rear, the MPV will incorporate a fresh LED taillight design, connected by a slim horizontal light bar, lending a more contemporary look.

When it comes to the interior, the 2025 Kia Carens facelift is expected to bring major updates. Spy images have confirmed that the model will now feature a panoramic sunroof, replacing the single-pane unit currently available only on the top-of-the-line Luxury Plus variant. Another anticipated upgrade is the addition of the 30-inch Trinity panoramic display, originally introduced in the recently launched Syros. This system integrates three distinct screens: a 12.3-inch HD infotainment touchscreen, a 5-inch display for AC and climate control functions, as well as a 12-inch LCD digital instrument panel.

In terms of safety, the facelifted Carens will likely boast features such as electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, hill start assist, downhill brake control, vehicle stability management, and rear parking assistance with both sensors and a camera.

Kia Carens Facelift: Expected Engine Options

As mentioned, the Carens MPV is expected to retain its existing engine lineup, which consists of a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine (113bhp), a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol unit (158bhp), and a 1.5-litre diesel variant (113bhp). The turbo-petrol engine is available with either a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, whereas the naturally aspirated petrol version is exclusively offered with a manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the diesel engine provides three transmission choices: a manual, an iMT, and a six-speed torque converter automatic.
