Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition Launched at Rs 10.74 Lakh in India

Maruti Suzuki has launched the Jimny Thunder Edition in India with a starting price of Rs 10.74 lakh (ex-showroom). It is only available until December 2023 and is Rs 2 lakh less expensive than the standard model, which costs Rs 12.74 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). This edition includes two variants (Zeta and Alpha), a single engine, and several stylistic elements such as front bumper garnishing, side door cladding, door visor, and a skid plate. In terms of interior features, it boasts a designer mat, an interior styling kit, and others. It's important to note that the feature set of the Jimny remains unchanged. The vehicle still includes six airbags (as standard), cruise control, auto air conditioning, an electronic stability programme (ESP), a reversing camera, and a 9-inch touchscreen. Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition: Engine

The SUV hasn't undergone any mechanical changes, which means the new model is powered by the same 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that generates 103bhp and 133Nm. The power is transmitted to all four wheels via a five-speed manual or a four-speed torque converter unit, with the aid of a low-range transmission and the brand's AllGrip Pro 4x4 system.

A front bumper decoration, graphics, an interior design package, floor mats (different for manual and automatic versions), and a tan-finish steering wheel are among a few of the accessories included with the special Jimny Thunder edition. It also features body cladding, front and rear fender garnishes, and a door visor.

The new, limited-edition of the Jimny SUV stays faithful to its fundamental features. It still has a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED projector lighting, and a full complement of safety equipment like ABS, EBD, ESP, hill hold and descent control, a reverse parking camera, and more.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Price and Colours

Prices for the standard Jimny begin at Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 15.05 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Nexa Blue, Sizzling Red, Bluish Black, Pearl Arctic White, Granite Grey, Sizzling Red with a Bluish Black roof, and Kinetic Yellow with a Bluish Black roof are among the seven paint options available for the SUV.
