Mercedes-Benz A-Class, AMG A 45 S Facelifts Launched in India Starting at Rs 45.80 Lakh

The 2023 A-Class series from Mercedes-Benz India has been launched with revised style and comfort features. The performance-focused AMG A 45 S 4Matic+ hot hatch and the A-Class Limousine are also part of the revamped lineup. The latter has a price tag of Rs 45.80 lakh, while the AMG A 45 is now priced at Rs 92.50 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom, India. For the new A-Class lineup, Mercedes is providing an 8-year warranty on the engine and gearbox. Only the A 200 Limousine and the AMG A 45 have been modified by the firm so far; the diesel-powered A 200d won't be available until the fourth quarter of 2023. The AMG A 35 Limousine, however, is not mentioned, which may indicate that the sportier model has been discontinued. 2023 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine: Exterior and Interior Features

The forward-sloping bonnet of the new A-Class sedan is accented by two power bulges and a sharp "shark nose." The newly styled radiator grille, which has a Mercedes-Benz star pattern, highlights this. New 17-inch 5 twin-spoke alloy wheels with an exterior flush design emphasise the vehicle's athletic appearance. As per the luxury manufacturer, the new LED rear lights guarantee an enthralling appearance.

Inside, a standard freestanding dual-screen display with a 10.25-inch diagonal size for each screen takes the spotlight. The updated steering wheel blends well with the car's high-tech design and touch-screen controls. When it comes to how the car learns your preferences and shows frequently used icons, the Zero Layer concept for the interface is present in the sedan. Car-to-X communication is one of the innovative technologies that help to increase safety.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now make wireless smartphone connectivity feasible. A 20 per cent boost has been made to the USB charging capacity. It now has seven airbags, and a knee airbag has been added to improve safety. The A-Class also receives a hands-free tailboard in addition to Keyless Entry & Go.

2023 Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+: Engine, Gearbox, and More Details

The AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that generates 421bhp, the most power offered by any hatchback in India. With a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds, it is the quickest AMG hatch sold anywhere in the world. The strong engine in the AMG A 45 S is specifically calibrated to work with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 8G gearbox, which gives the vehicle more agility and dynamic character. Due to the combination of AMG Suspension and the completely variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive with AMG TORQUE CONTROL, the vehicle exhibits outstanding agility.

The performance hatchback is outfitted with the NTG7 version of MBUX, the most recent iteration of the infotainment system. The AMG DYNAMIC SELECT and other new AMG-specific graphics improve the driving experience. Also available now is wireless smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Further, similar to the A-Class sedan, 20 per cent more USB charging power is now available.

New headlamps and a radiator designed specifically for AMG improve the front end. The rear Aerofoil for the AMG would be available as an accessory, giving one the chance to further customise the AMG.
