Porsche’s first all-electric sports saloon has made its India debut. Introduced in four variants, the Porsche Taycan undercuts its key rival, the Audi e-tron GT, by Rs 30 lakh in terms of entry-level pricing.
 
The Porsche Taycan has made its India debut. Interestingly, the all-electric sports saloon directly rivals its cousin, the Audi e-tron GT. The Porsche Taycan is priced from Rs 1.50 crore (ex-showroom), while the Audi e-tron GT starts at Rs 1.80 crore (ex-showroom).

The Audi e-tron made its debut in two variants, but the Taycan has been launched in four variants – the Taycan, Taycan 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S. Deliveries of the Tycan will begin in the first quarter of 2022.

Porsche Taycan Cabin Dashboard Details

The Turbo S is the most powerful variant of the Taycan, with 740bhp on tap, which is sent to all four wheels. The Taycan Turbo S can sprint to 100km/h from a standstill in 2.8 seconds (claimed).

The entry-level Porsche Taycan offers 484km (claimed) in one full charge. It gets 402bhp of power, and in the overboost mode, with the launch control, the power can increase up to 469bhp, with the optional two-deck 93.4 kWh Performance Battery Plus.

The Porsche Taycan will get an 800-volt charger, which can help the battery get from 5 to 80 per cent in under 23 minutes.
