JSW MG Motor India has confirmed that the upcoming top-spec variant of the Windsor EV will feature a significantly larger 52.9kWh battery, up from the current 38kWh unit. Despite the increased battery capacity, power and torque figures remain unchanged at 134bhp and 200Nm. That said, the range is expected to see an improvement over the 332 kilometres offered by the standard model. The Windsor Pro's price will be revealed on May 6 and is expected to be a bit higher than the standard Windsor EV. For reference, the current model starts at Rs 10 lakh under the battery rental scheme, which charges Rs 3.9 per kilometre, and goes up to Rs 14 lakh for the full ownership option.
The top-spec Windsor Pro will offer more than just a bigger battery and longer range. It will include Level 2 ADAS, making it the second EV in its class with this safety feature. The ADAS system offers audio, visual, and vibration alerts for drivers. Its notable functions include Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, and Lane Departure Warning, aimed at improving safety and driving ease in India. Furthermore, the car will have Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging, allowing it to power external devices and charge other EVs.

Design details for the MG Windsor Pro are still under wraps, but early teasers and reports suggest it will mostly resemble the standard version, with a few small updates like a new set of alloy wheels and an ADAS badge on the tailgate.
Inside, the Windsor Pro is expected to retain key features like the 15.6-inch touchscreen, 135-degree reclining rear seats, fixed glass roof, 9-speaker Infinity sound system, automatic climate control, and wireless phone charger. However, there could be a few minor changes, like refreshed upholstery.
