Powering a BMW X5, the 100,000th unit celebrates ten years of a strong and successful partnership between BMW and Force Motors.

Marking a significant milestone in its collaboration with BMW Group India, Force Motors has rolled out its 100,000th engine from its assembly plant in Chennai. This landmark engine has been installed in a BMW X5. The occasion was commemorated in the presence of senior representatives from both companies, including Marcus Wollens, Vice President – BMW Production Network 2, BMW AG; Thomas Dose, Managing Director – BMW Group Plant Chennai; and Prasan Firodia, Managing Director – Force Motors Ltd.

Since its establishment in 2015, the Chennai facility has been dedicated to manufacturing engines for every BMW car produced in India. Through its use of advanced automated lines, rigorous quality controls, digitally integrated operations, and highly skilled staff, the plant not only upholds BMW Group's global production standards but also makes a substantial contribution to its activities in India and its broader localisation strategy.
