HCIL MSTI

MSTI is a joint venture between Maruti Suzuki India, Toyota Tsusho Group, and Toyota Tsusho India.

Maruti Suzuki Toyotsu India (MSTI) and Honda Cars India (HCIL) have collaborated to provide end-to-end services for customers for scrapping their End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs).

With this partnership, HCIL aims to assist its customers to get the most out of their ELVs and to make the deregistration process and the issue of certificates of deposit and destruction as simple as possible through its dealer partners. The firm claims that buyers can now get their old vehicles scrapped in a safe and sustainable way.

Government-approved ELV recycling and scrapping company Maruti Suzuki Toyotsu India Private Limited (MSTI) will establish the service alliance across Delhi-NCR, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. With the inclusion of new scrappage centres by MSTI in the future, the coverage area will eventually expand.

Commenting on the alliance, Masaru Akaishi, Managing Director, Maruti Suzuki Toyotsu India Private Limited (MSTI), said, 'Today we are pleased to announce our collaboration with Honda Cars India Limited. MSTI will continue to contribute to the improvement of India’s environment by providing environment-friendly ELV dismantling services.'

Takuya Tsumura, President & CEO, Honda Cars India, remarked, 'The Vehicle Scrappage Policy by Government of India stipulates scrappage and deregistration of old vehicles to promote phasing out of unfit vehicles from the roads, improve safety and lowering of carbon footprint in India.'

'We are pleased to offer a one-stop solution to our customers through our dealers to scrap their old cars in a systematic and environmentally friendly manner. With this association, Honda Cars India intends to go beyond while serving and delighting our customers,' he further added.

As part of the partnership, HCIL dealership and MSTI will provide customers with a variety of services and facilities, such as Car Evaluation and End-to-End Services, which include vehicle pick-up, transportation, and disassembly at MSTI's Scrap and Recycling Centre.
