Honda has confirmed that its first fully electric vehicle (BEV) in India, launching next fiscal year, will be a completely new model and not based on the existing Honda Elevate. This new electric SUV is designed specifically for the Indian market. Takashi Nakajima, Honda’s new Managing Director, said this shows the company’s focus on creating unique and innovative electric cars for India. India is now one of Honda’s top three global focus markets, along with the United States and Japan. This move shows how important India is to Honda’s global plans. With the launch of the new electric SUV, Honda aims to grow its presence in India’s fast-expanding electric vehicle market and meet the increasing demand for cleaner, more sustainable transport options.

However, it does offer the Honda City Hybrid, which appeals to buyers who want better fuel efficiency. The new electric SUV is expected to attract more buyers and improve Honda’s position in the electric vehicle market.

India also supports EV growth with better infrastructure and government policies. Honda wants to meet the needs of Indian drivers who are now more interested in green and affordable transport options.
