JK Tyre appoints Anuj Kathuria as new President of operations

JK Tyre has announced Anuj Kathuria as its new President in India. Kathuria was the COO of Ashok Leyland in India and resigned from the company in June. Here's all you need to know about the new executive.

Anuj Kathuria was the COO before assuming his new role at JK Tyre.

JK Tyre has announced Anuj Kathuria as its new President of India operations. The company issued a statement that Kathuria will report directly to Raghupati Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director, and Anshuman Singhania, Managing Director, who are based out of Delhi.  

 'I am sure Kathuria will provide adept leadership and lead JK Tyre on a new growth trajectory,' said Raghupati Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director, as he welcomed Kathuria to the company. Kathuria completed his engineering and later pursued a post-graduate degree in Marketing and Finance. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business school. 

Anuj Kathuria brings over 31 years of experience to the company, which includes senior management positions in auto companies like Ashok Leyland and Tata Motors. Before his current position at JK tyres and Industries, Kathuria was part of India’s second-largest commercial vehicle producer, Ashok Leyland from where he resigned in June. 

JK Tyres is one of the leading tyre companies in India, with brands like JK Tyre, Vikrant, and Tornel. The company operates in more than 105 countries across six continents.  It owns a state-of-the-art global research and technology centre in Mysore, named 'Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence,' which is home to some of the finest technologies in the world and showcases the company’s firm pledge toward technology and innovation. 

India’s first-ever ‘Smart Tyre’ technology, which monitors a tyre’s vital statistics, like pressure and temperature, through the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) was launched by JK Tyres in 2019.
