Kia Seltos SUV Surpasses 5 Lakh Sales Milestone in India

In the middle of 2019, Kia introduced the Seltos SUV in the nation. The compact SUV has surpassed 5 lakh sales in less than four years of its inception in our market. It is available in India at a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). According to several industry reports, Kia is gearing up to introduce the facelift version of the Seltos SUV in India. The updated model has already marked its debut in the U.S. market. According to the Korean carmaker, it owes its success in our market to the Seltos. The Kia Seltos SUV, according to the firm, has been massively contributing to sales since its launch in the country. Kia further reveals that the SUV has won the admiration and hearts of more than five lakh clients in the Indian market with its wide feature list and impressive aesthetics.

Kia Seltos: Sales Contribution

In India, the Seltos SUV, according to the firm, accounted for nearly 55% of Kia's net sales. The company further reported dispatching more than 1.35 lakh Seltos to more than 100 overseas markets, including Central and South America, Mexico, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific regions. According to Kia, the Seltos SUV continues to sell an average of over 9,000 units monthly, with total sales of approximately 27,159 units during the first quarter of 2023.  

Kia Seltos Facelift: India Launch Updates 

The revised Kia Seltos has marked its entry into the U.S. It will reportedly launch in our nation shortly. Internationally, ADAS is a standard feature on every variant of the updated Seltos. Outside, the compact Seltos SUV will likely receive a reworked front grille with integrated LED DRLs. Aside from this, the new model will get a bumper, LED projector headlamps, and an updated faux skid plate. At the rear, there will also be new connected LED tail lights.

On the inside, the upcoming 2023 Seltos will presumably house two displays. Two 10.25-inch screens will be present, one for the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system. It could also get a wireless charger, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and other features. Mechanically, the upcoming SUV could be the same as the current version. It might continue to offer 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. A 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine could be also available.

Although Kia has not yet made any formal announcements, industry reports indicate that the facelift version of the Seltos will go on sale in India by July 2023.
