Effective 1st August 2019, Mr Rudratej Singh will take over as the President & CEO of BMW Group India.

After departing from Royal Enfield (RE) earlier this year, Mr Rudratej Singh enters the four-wheeler space as he is all set to become the President & CEO of BMW Group India, starting 1st August 2019. Singh had joined Royal Enfield in 2015 and over the four years as President of the company's commercial wing, he oversaw aspects like global sales, after-sales operations, new product strategy, branding & marketing, along with steering new business opportunities. Singh is also renowned for driving RE's apparel & accessory division.

Meanwhile, Vikram Pawah, who had been serving as the President of BMW Group India, was re-appointed by the Munich-based carmaker as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BMW Group Australia & New Zealand in July 2018. As a result, Dr Hans-Christian Baertels, Director - Finance & Administration at BMW Group India, took over as the acting President in Vikram Pawah's absence. Now though, this gap will be filled by Rudratej Singh.

Sharing his thoughts on Singh's arrival at BMW Group India, Mr Hendrik von Kuenheim, Senior Vice President (Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle-East & Africa) at BMW Group said, 'We are delighted to welcome Mr Rudratej Singh as the President and Chief Executive Officer of BMW Group India. As a priority market for the BMW Group, India presents tremendous potential for future growth and development for the luxury automotive segment. Having worked across diverse industry segments, Mr Singh has a deep understanding of strategic business techniques based on fundamental consumer insights, a transformational leadership approach and fresh thinking that will strengthen BMW Group’s operations in India.'
