The Indian carmaker is well-known for having a robust lineup of vehicles in the nation's utility vehicle market, including the Bolero Neo, XUV300, XUV700, Scorpio N, and the Scorpio Classic. The growing preference for high-quality utility vehicles among Indian car buyers has helped Mahindra record a positive sales performance for the past several months.

Mahindra Thar, XUV300 Facelift Incoming

The carmaker is presently working on the XUV300 facelift, which is expected to go on sale soon. The model has been spotted testing multiple times ahead of its launch. Anticipated improvements of the facelifted XUV300 include new LED headlamps and DRL units, a redesigned front grille and bumper, a new LED taillight at the back, and new alloy wheels. The interior of the vehicle will get a larger floating touchscreen infotainment system and a new digital instrument cluster. The new XUV300 may be the first SUV in its class to feature a panoramic sunroof. Mahindra will not update its engine range and may stick with the 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engines.

Meanwhile, one of the biggest unveils of the year will come in the form of the Thar 5-door. The company will take the wraps off the eagerly-anticipated model on August 15 this year. According to previous spy shots, the SUV will sport a revamped body, circular LED headlights with new daytime running lights, a new set of alloy wheels, and updated LED taillights. The 5-door variant will keep the boxy look of its 3-door counterpart, but it will have a longer wheelbase and two additional rear doors.

Expected feature bits include a larger infotainment unit with better graphics, a single-pane sunroof, a reworked centre console, leatherette seat upholstery, second-row AC vents, a split centre armrest for the front row, keyless entry, wireless phone charging, and type-C USB charging ports. When it comes to the powertrain, the SUV will likely retain the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (150bhp/320Nm) and 2.2-litre diesel (130bhp/300Nm) engine options.
