Just days after launching the NeoDrive mild-hybrid variant of the Fortuner in India, Toyota has introduced a fresh round of price increases across select variants of the SUV. The latest revision sees prices rise by as much as Rs 68,000, with the petrol 4x2 manual version receiving the sharpest hike. A flat Rs 40,000 increase has been applied to several diesel trims, including the 4x2 (manual and automatic), 4x4 manual, 4x4 GR-S automatic, and even the premium Legender’s 4x2 AT and 4x4 MT versions.
The Fortuner range is available with two engine options, each catering to different performance needs. The petrol variant is equipped with a 2.7-litre engine delivering 164bhp and 245Nm of torque, paired with either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.

In contrast, the diesel version features a more powerful 2.8-litre engine that produces 201bhp. Torque output differs based on the gearbox: 420Nm with the manual and 500Nm with the automatic. At the top end, the Legender variant exclusively uses the 2.8-litre diesel engine and maintains identical power and torque figures. It also offers buyers a choice between a six-speed manual and automatic, blending performance with premium features.
The Toyota Fortuner, particularly in its flagship Legender avatar, delivers a premium experience with a strong focus on both sophistication and user convenience. Inside, the cabin is thoughtfully appointed with features like mood-adjustable ambient lighting, an 11-speaker JBL audio system for immersive sound, and cruise control for effortless long drives. Comfort is further enhanced by ventilated front seats with electric adjustability, upscale leather upholstery, a dual-zone climate control system with rear vents, and an auto-dimming interior mirror.
