1. 22 November 2024: Royal Enfield unveils a new Scram 440 at Motoverse 2024 with a bigger engine and several new features.

As the name suggests, this bike should have a 450cc engine. However, a few news updates suggest that it might have an updated 443cc single-cylinder engine. The unveiling of the Scram 440 indicates that the Scram 440 and the Scrambler 450 are one but not two motorcycles. We believe this way because both of them are similar engine displacement scramblers and are likely to be launched soon. The said engine should develop a peak power and torque of 25.4bhp at 6250 rpm and 34 Nm at 4000 rpm, respectively.

During the unveiling of the Scram 440, it was stated that it would come with a six-speed gearbox.

The other specifications shall include an off-road suspension with 190mm travel in the front and 180mm in the rear. It shall include 41mm telescopic front forks and a mono-shock in the rear. The bike shall sit on a robust and rigid chassis and have a low centre of gravity for stable performance. It should ride on alloy wheels that would sport tubeless tyres. The braking setup shall incorporate both disc brakes with a larger piston front caliper (30/32mm). It should also include a switchable ABS, activable directly from the switch cube.
