Over a weekend, riders get hands-on drills, instructor guidance and plenty of time on mixed terrain. It is not about riding fast. It is about learning how to handle a GS on dirt, gravel and slopes, and understanding what the bike can do once you leave the highway.</p><p>

This keeps things balanced and lets riders train with machines of similar size and weight. Both levels run through the weekend with instructors guiding every session.</p><p>

The advanced module brings in sand and gravel riding, cornering on loose surfaces, off-camber sections, Figure of 8 turns, U-turns, slush riding, recovery techniques on slopes, and recovery on slopes. Riders will also use Enduro Pro mode during the advanced sessions to adjust ABS, traction control and power delivery for off-road riding.</p><p>To take part, riders must hold a valid motorcycle licence and own an eligible BMW GS model. Full ISI- or ECE-approved riding gear is compulsory for the training, along with physical fitness and no alcohol or drugs. Each weekend includes briefings, demos and supervised riding across different surfaces. The 2026 BMW GS Experience runs through 10–11 October, giving GS owners multiple chances to get off the tarmac and spend a proper weekend riding the way these bikes are meant to be ridden.<br></p>
