Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Overview
Earlier updated in 2017 with a mid-cycle facelift, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross – as of mid-2020 – has made its transition from diesel to petrol power. Apart from the abovementioned change, there’s hardly anything new with the 2020 S-Cross. It still continues to be the carmaker’s flagship model for the Indian market. However, in its transition from a diesel-only model to a petrol-only one, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross price sure seems to have been reduced quite a bit.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Exterior
As said above, there’s hardly anything new with the 2020 S-Cross. Therefore, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross new model continues with the same styling as the model it replaces. It still retains its crossover-like stance, and continues to boast sophisticated elements like LED projector headlamps with DRLs, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and LED taillamps.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Variants
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross variants are as follows: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Barring the addition of the carmaker’s new Smartplay Studio infotainment system, the S-Cross’ interior remains untouched. As a result, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross on-road price gets you push-button start with keyless entry, cruise control, climate control, automatic headlamps, and all the other features that were present in the earlier model.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Interior
The 2020 S-Cross continues with the same roomy cabin as its predecessor. As said earlier, it remains to be as feature-rich as the older car’s cabin. The fit-and-finish, too, remains the same as before, meaning there are hard touch materials on the dashboard.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Engine Specifications & Performance
This is the area where the 2020 S-Cross differs from its predecessor. Gone is the older 1.3-litre diesel, for the company now sells it with its in-house developed 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which is good for 103bhp and 138Nm. Moreover, the S-Cross now, for the first time, also comes mated to a 4-speed AT gearbox, as opposed to a 5-speed manual. All the variants of the S-Cross feature the maker’s SHVS mild-hybrid system.
