The motorcycle is open for bookings for a token amount of ₹1,000 on the company's website or at the nearby Keeway-Benelli dealership.
The entry-level retro SR125 from Hungarian motorcycle manufacturer Keeway is now available in India for ₹1.19 lakh (ex-showroom). One of the priciest 125cc motorcycles in the market, the Keeway SR125 is the seventh bike to join the firm's line-up. It will be available in three exciting colour options- Glossy Black, Glossy Red, and Glossy White.
Keeway-Benelli dealerships will provide the test rides of the Keeway SR125 starting mid-October, and the deliveries for the same will commence by the end of this month. The motorcycle is open for bookings for a token amount of ₹1,000 on the company's website and at Keeway-Benelli dealerships.
The Keeway SR125 is propelled by a 125cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, fuel-injected engine that produces 8.2Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm and 9.5bhp of max power at 9,000rpm. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It has twin spring-loaded rear shock absorbers and telescopic front forks. The motorcycle also gets a combined braking system with disc brakes on either end.
A 14.5-litre fuel tank, a teardrop-shaped body, and a small side panel make up the majority of the Keeway SR 125's relatively straightforward design. A single-piece seat painted in tan brown gives a touch of contrast, as does the compact, halogen headlamp that is positioned over a single-pod, colour digital display. A tiny fender, a spherical taillight, and indicators are all that can be seen in the very minimalist tail area.
With a price tag of ₹1.19 lakh (ex-showroom), the SR125 currently stands equivalent to the TVS Apache RTR 160 and Yamaha FZ series in terms of cost. Albeit, it's more of a niche product in comparison to the other two.
