Bajaj Pulsar 220 F 2023

Bajaj Auto has announced the arrival of the 2023 Pulsar 220F in the Indian market. This sub-250cc Pulsar motorcycle has received the necessary modifications to become OBD2 compliant. This semi-faired bike was phased out in April last year. However, due to popular demand, it is now back on the market with significant tweaks, but the design, mechanical specifications, and hardware are all the same. Bajaj Auto also recently introduced the 2023 Chetak Electric scooter in India, with a starting price of Rs 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom). The new electric scooter incorporates several enhancements in terms of features and design. In addition, the current model of the electric scooter, which is now available for Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom), will be sold alongside the new model. It should be noted that changes such as a wider selection account for a Rs 30,000 price difference. Only the most expensive Premium variant has received the updates. Now, coming back to the all-new  Pulsar 220F, here's what we know about it.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F: Styling Updates

The 2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F's styling is unchanged, and it continues to include a semi-fairing design, a side-slung exhaust, a pair of 17-inch six-spoke alloy wheels on either end, an engine cowl, a clip-on style handlebar, a muscular fuel tank, a split-style seat, two-piece pillion grabrail, and a vertically stacked twin-pod headlight with twin DRLs. The firm has refreshed the graphics of the 2023 model, but the design hasn't changed. The front wing, fairing, fuel tank, rear panel, and engine cowl have all received the new graphics. For a sportier appearance, the company has also added carbon-fibre graphics to the bike.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F: Features

Bajaj Auto has also updated the instrument cluster of the 2023 model, which now also displays details about the motorcycle's fuel efficiency, along with the distance to empty and real-time fuel economy. The bike still has an analogue tachometer as part of its semi-digital layout. The console's bottom is where the telltale indicators are located, and the warning lights are situated between the tachometer and the digital display. The bike has a carbon-fibre texture around the instrument cluster to give the visuals a hint of sportiness. It still has features like a projector-style halogen headlight, backlit switchgear, traditional blinkers, an LED taillight, and a single-channel ABS, among others.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F: Hardware Details

The 2023 Pulsar 220F's hardware is the same as it was last year, and the motorcycle continues to use preload-adjustable twin rear shocks and telescopic front forks from Endurance for suspension. A single 280mm front disc and a 230mm rear rotor are responsible for the vehicle's braking. The front and rear tubeless tyres on the 17-inch alloy wheels are 90/90 and 120/80, respectively.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F: Mechanical Specifications

The 220cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine from the 2023 Pulsar 220F is still there and is tuned to produce a maximum output of 20.11bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 18.55Nm at 7,000rpm. A five-speed gearbox is coupled to this engine. Despite having numbers that are similar to those of the BS6 model, the 2023 Pulsar 220F has all the hardware required to meet OBD2-norms.

2023 Bajaj Pulsar 220F: Price and Market Rivals
