2023 Honda Shine 125 Launched with OBD 2-Compliance in India at Rs 79,800

The 2023 Honda Shine 125 gets its go-go from a 125cc PGM-FI petrol engine with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, which features a Unique Honda ACG Starter and a Friction Reduction function, and is approved by the BS6 OBD2 standard.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the new 2023 Shine 125 motorcycle. The pricing of the 2023 Honda Shine 125 – it’s available in two versions, called Drum and Disc – ranges from Rs 79,800 to Rs 83,800 (ex-showroom). The firm is giving a unique 10-year warranty package (3 years standard + 7 years optional extended warranty) with the purchase of the bike., which is available in five colour options – Geny Grey Metallic, Black, Matte Axis Grey Decent Blue Metallic and Rebel Red Metallic. In terms of aesthetics, it has a gleaming chrome visor ornament and a DC headlight. Chrome side covers, updated graphics, a chrome muffler cover, a smart taillight, and black alloy wheels are some of the other standout aesthetic features.

2023 Honda Shine 125: Features

The Honda Shine 125 incorporates several advanced features, including a DC headlight and an engine start/stop button that doubles as a kill switch. These additions enhance the bike's overall functionality and convenience. Furthermore, the high and low beam switches on the Honda Shine 125 now come equipped with pass beam functionality, further improving the rider's control and visibility while on the road.

The bike also gets a 5-way adjustable rear suspension to ensure ride comfort on different terrains. In addition, Honda's Combi-Brake System (CBS) with equaliser aids the ride by balancing the braking power between the vehicle's front and back wheels.

2023 Honda Shine 125: Engine

The 2023 Honda Shine 125 is powered by a 125cc PGM-FI petrol engine. The engine is BS6 OBD2 certified and has Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology, which includes a Unique Honda ACG Starter and a Friction Reduction function. For transmission, the bike uses a 5-speed gearbox.

Speaking on the launch of the new OBD2-compliant 2023 Shine 125, Mr Tsutsumu Otani, President, CEO & Managing Director of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, ‘Leading the 125cc motorcycle segment, the success of brand Shine is a testimony to the love and trust of our customers. As we launch the 2023 Shine 125, I am confident, it will create a new benchmark in its segment and further strengthen our position.’

The 2023 Honda Shine 125’s wheelbase measures 1285mm, and it has a ground clearance of 162mm. The 2023 Honda Shine 125 is a single-piece that is 651mm in length.
