Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition, with 178bhp, Makes Global Debut

KTM and Brabus have revealed their third and final joint venture model - the 1300 R Masterpiece Edition. This motorcycle has a potent KTM LC8 V-twin engine that produces 178bhp and 140Nm of performance figures, allowing it to go from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The bike is a limited edition, with only 50 units available, each sporting a circular LED headlamp, carbon fibre side fairing with bigger winglets, a heated leather seat, gold-coloured rims, and more. It comes in two paint options - Onyx Black and Diamond White, with only 25 motorcycles produced in each colour. This special edition bike is priced at EUR 41,930 (approximately Rs 36.5 lakh). Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition: Styling

The 1300 R Masterpiece Edition differs from the Super Duke, on which it is based, with a modern and sleek appearance. The bike's design includes a muscular tank, a side fairing made of carbon fibre with bigger winglets, a circular LED headlight, a heated leather seat, wheels with a gold finish, and more. In addition, the limited-run model features specifically developed 17-inch Brabus Monoblock Gold Platinum wheels that have been produced using CNC technology. The front and rear tyres on the wheels measure 120/70 R 17 and 200/55 R 17, respectively.

Brabus 1300 R Masterpiece Edition: Engine and Hardware

The new 1300 R Masterpiece Edition runs on a 1301cc V-twin motor, which is also found on the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo. With a six-speed gearbox on duty, the engine generates a maximum power of 178bhp at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 140Nm at 8,000rpm. The bike claims to reach a high speed of 270km/h and accelerate from a standstill to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds. The new model also features five unique riding modes: Street, Sport, Rain, Performance, and Track.

The trellis-frame supported bike has semi-active WP front forks, a steering damper, and a monoshock at the back. There are automatic and manual adjustment options available for this WP Apex semi-active suspension system. In manual mode, the rider can modify the suspension to his preferences while the auto mode enables the motorcycle to autonomously adapt to changing road conditions. The motorcycle features Brembo Stylema 4-piston discs up front and 2-piston discs at the back for braking.

The motorbike comes with a range of features such as a bi-directional quickshifter, ABS, ride modes, heated grips, cruise control, and an in-house developed TFT. Additionally, each of the 50 bikes in this exclusive lot is accompanied by a set of unique accessories, including a custom-made inside cover and a floor mat for the parking spot in your garage. To top it off, each of the 50 owners of this motorbike will receive a special guided tour of the Brabus Manufaktur in Bottrop.
