Hero Karizma XMR 210 Spotted Testing Ahead of Launch

The spy images of the upcoming Hero Karizma have surfaced online. According to these images, the bike undergoing testing was heavily camouflaged. However, it did give away some of the details related to its design, riding ergonomics, and features. As we know, Hero MotoCorp is preparing to introduce a range of its motorcycles that also include the new Karizma, with a focus on the premium segment. Reportedly, the new Hero Karizma will be soon re-introduced in the Indian market - christened as the Karizma XMR and the Karizma XMR 210, since the company filed two for two trademarks for the upcoming motorcycle.

To give you a brief background, the Hero Karizma was offered in two versions - a semi-faired Karizma with less power and a fully-faired version with more power. Going by some reports, the upcoming Hero Karizma could also be available in the less powerful Karizma XMR and the more powerful Karizma XMR 210 versions. Hero Karizma XMR 210: Design, Features

Design-wise, the upcoming Karizma XMR 210 draws inspiration from the Xtreme 200S. Based on the latest spy shots, it is expected to come with a sharp front end, a split LED headlamp, a full fairing down to the engine, and side mirrors on the fairing. Coming to its rear profile, the bike could have a split-seat setup, a small tail lamp, and an exhaust. 

The bike sports a slightly aggressive stance with footpegs positioned high, in terms of riding ergonomics. It may embrace a split saddle and clip-on handlebars. On the feature front, it is likely to get LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and more. 

Hero Karizma XMR 210: Hardware & Powertrain

In terms of the powertrain, the new Hero Karizma XMR 210 will possibly get a new and powerful 210cc, liquid-cooled engine putting out 25bhp of maximum power and 30Nm of peak torque. This engine will come mated to a 6-speed transmission. However, the official details of the engine have not been revealed yet.  

As for its hardware, the spy shots of the test mule reveal a conventional telescopic fork setup in the front and a monoshock at the back, along with disc brakes at both ends. Both disc brakes will be equipped with a dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system).

Hero Karizma XMR 210: Price, Rivals

We anticipate the upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 210 to range between Rs 1.30 lakh and Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, it will compete against the likes of the KTM RC200, the Yamaha YZF-R15, and the Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
