The Honda Activa 125 FI BS-VI has been launched at a starting price of ₹67,490, and it's available in three variants.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially entered the BS-VI race by launching the Activa 125 FI, which happens to be the brand's first BS-VI compliant scooter in the country. The prices for Activa 125 FI start from ₹67,490 and go all the way up to ₹74,490 for the range-topping model - all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The exterior changes on the new Activa 125 FI remain subtle, courtesy of restyled LED position lamps, some chrome body accents and an embossed, 3-D ‘Activa 125’ emblem. However, it retains the trusty all-metal body.

Coming to the most significant changes, the Activa 125 FI is powered by a new 124cc HET motor. With the BS-VI upgrade, the Activa now also gets the superior fuel-injection technology, courtesy of Honda’s PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel-Injection) system. The motor develops 8.2bhp at 6,500rpm. Honda has also given the Activa 125 FI eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology, which offers two crucial components: a 'noiseless' ACG starter (which replaces the conventional starter motor) & friction reduction.

The Activa 125 FI's launch tagline – ‘A Quiet Revolution’ – alludes to this new ACG starter, that starts the engine ‘jolt-free’ using the same AC generator used for charging the battery. This helps in eliminating the 'meshing' starter noise. The friction reduction, on the other hand, has been achieved with the use of an offset cylinder, along with a lighter piston & crankshaft. This weight-saving will also contribute towards better fuel-efficiency figures, which will primarily be enhanced by the new Idling Stop System. This system shuts off the engine when the scooter comes to halt for a few seconds, and then restarts the engine again at the twist of the throttle.

In terms of features, the Activa 125 FI BS-VI comes with a new digital-analogue meter console. The new console offers the rider a wide array of information while riding, ranging from real-time fuel efficiency, distance to empty, average fuel consumption to trip data, ECO indicator and a service due indicator as well (with an onboard malfunction alert light). Also, the side stand now gets immobiliser-triggering functionality (with an indicator).

The Activa 125 FI BS-VI also enhances the convenience & utility quotient as it gets a redesigned 18-litre under-seat storage to accommodate more goods, along with a new front storage compartment as well. Further, the rider now won't have to get off the seat to refuel as the scooter comes equipped with an external fuel-filler flap, which can be easily unlocked using the new combi-switch (the same switch can unlock the seat as well).

Honda will be offering the new Activa 125 BS-VI with a 6-Year warranty package (3-year standard warranty + 3-year optional extended warranty). It will go on sale with 4 exterior colour options (Rebel Red Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic, Heavy Grey Metallic & Pearl Precious White).

Here are the variant wise prices (ex-showroom, Delhi) of the new Activa 125 BS-VI,

Standard - ₹67,490

Alloy -  ₹70,990

Deluxe - ₹74,490
