Mercedes-Benz spruces up the A-Class with cosmetic enhancements and some optional equipment

Mercedes-Benz has launched its face-lifted A-Class in India with cosmetic enhancements, new optional equipment and a panoramic sunroof as standard. Cosmetic enhancements for the updated A-Class include, a new front bumper that looks sharper, the grille and air intakes have also been revised. The car also gets optional LED head lamps. Around the back, the rear bumper is new too and accommodates an integrated dual exhaust system. The LED tail lights are also new.

On the inside, the A-Class gets revised dials in the instrument cluster, new dashboard trim, galvanized buttons and switches, new three-spoke steering wheel, new switchgear for drive mode selection and there is an optional Comand infotainment system with an 8-inch screen featuring Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink software for smartphones.

Powertrain options for the A-Class remain the same in the form of the 1.6 litre petrol engine in the A180 Sport model while the diesel continues to be powered by a 2.1 litre turbocharged unit. Both cars have a seven-speed automatic gearbox.
