Mahindra launched the replacement of the Reva electric car which they now call the e2O. Earlier showcased at the Auto Expo in Delhi as the Reva NX-R, the e2O will head to showrooms in 8 cities across India. The e2o gets an electric motor that is driven by 48-volt lithium-ion batteries which are capable of powering the car for about 100km on a single charge.

The engine produces 25bhp at 3750rpm and 52Nm of torque at 3400rpm and boasts of a top speed of 81km/h. Ideal for urban transport this no emissions car takes five hours to fully charge its batteries from any 15A household socket. Mahindra has priced the e2o at Rs 5.96 lakh (on-road, Delhi).
