Maruti Suzuki has increased real-world testing of the Brezza facelift, and the repeated sightings indicate that the updated sub-4m SUV could hit the showroom soon. The Brezza, launched in 2022, is now in its second generation and has seen updates such as a CNG variant and six airbags as standard; however, a complete makeover is long-awaited. With the launch of the new Brezza on the horizon, here are all the key changes we can expect.
The Brezza facelift is expected to retain its rugged look, with no major overhaul to its overall styling. However, the updated model may feature sharper detailing, revised bumpers, redesigned headlamps and taillamps, alongside new colour options. On the sides, you can expect a set of newly designed alloy wheels to round off the small yet noticeable cosmetic changes.
The upcoming Brezza is likely to feature a redesigned dashboard and new upholstery. It could also get a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a fully digital instrument cluster, replacing the current 9-inch screen and semi-digital display. Other features, such as ventilated and powered seats and ambient lighting, may also be included.
The current Brezza engine lineup includes a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre petrol-CNG. However, speculations suggest that the upcoming facelift could feature a new turbocharged petrol option. This engine is expected to be a 1.2-litre unit, likely derived from the Z12E engine used in the Swift and Dzire.

According to the spy shots, Maruti Suzuki may introduce a 6-speed manual transmission, which could be offered only with the turbocharged engine. Similar to the Victoris, Maruti Suzuki might position the CNG tank under the Brezza’s body, making room for more boot.
The upcoming SUV is expected to start at around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against the Kia Sonet, the Skoda Kylaq, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, the Kia Syros, the Nissan Magnite, the Mahindra XUV 3XO, the Tata Nexon, and the Hyundai Venue.
