MG is all set to turn heads at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed with a bold electric showcase. Taking centre stage will be the European premieres of two visually arresting design studies – the Cyberster Black and Cyber X – both scheduled to break cover between July 10 and 13. Alongside these, MG will introduce two entirely new EVs packed with advanced tech, making their first public appearance on July 10.

One of the new models will take part in the hill climb at Goodwood, showcasing its electric performance. It will be joined by the returning MG EX4 EV, now featuring a new livery designed for the event as a tribute to the MG Metro 6R4. MG’s main stand will also display the MG5 EV and MG HS SUV, while a second area will highlight the MG4 EV XPower and provide an interactive experience for visitors.

Sharing his thoughts about MG's appearance at the upcoming event, the Duke of Richmond, founder of the Festival of Speed commented, 'After officially celebrating their centenary with us in some style last year, MG will return to the Goodwood Festival of Speed with two important, new production models as well some outstanding concept cars which we are excited to be hosting. The opportunity to catch a first glimpse of captivating future design and technical innovation is a key part of the Goodwood experience, and MG has so much to offer this year.'

MG Cyberster Black, Cyber X: What to Expect?

The British automaker will return to the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed with a fresh take on its Cyberster electric convertible. The Cyberster Black will feature a deep black exterior finish, chrome highlights, and a matching dark interior, giving the convertible a more polished look.

Also part of MG’s showcase is the Cyber X – a bold, city-focused electric concept that highlights the creative direction of MG’s emerging ‘Cyber’ sub-brand. With its compact dimensions, pop-up headlights, and extremely short overhangs, the Cyber X is styled to handle tight urban environments while projecting a youthful, standout presence.

Jozef Kaban, MG’s Vice President of SAIC Design, said, 'We are looking forward to introducing the original Cyber X and elegant Cyberster Black. MG has a tradition of creating emotive cars that stand out from the crowd, and we are passionate about continuing this work as well as exploring how we might take the brand in some new, unexpected directions.'

Originally introduced in 2023, the EX4 was designed as a modern homage to the MG Metro 6R4 rally car and will once again demonstrate its capabilities at the event. Alongside these highlights, The brand’s display will include the MG5 EV, MG HS, and the MG4 XPower, offering visitors a closer look at the brand’s current and future EV offerings.
