The Magnite goes on sale in 10 variants, spread across four trim levels (XE, XL, XV, and XV Premium) and three engine-gearbox combinations (NA petrol MT, Turbo petrol MT, and Turbo petrol CVT). To be specific, there's a single petrol motor on offer but in two versions – naturally-aspirated and turbocharged.

While the former only gets a five-speed manual gearbox as standard, the latter also offers the option of a CVT automatic gearbox. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally-aspirated motor develops 71bhp & 96Nm of torque, while the turbo version churns out 99bhp and 160Nm of torque. With the CVT, though, the turbo petrol motor's torque rating is pegged at 152Nm.

In terms of features, the Magnite takes the game ahead in the segment, as the higher-spec versions offer features like cruise control, bi-projector LED headlamps, segment-first 360-degree camera, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as standard. Plus, for the top two trim levels (XV & XV Premium), Nissan is offering an option Technology Pack that includes premium features like a wireless charger, puddle lamps, ambient mood lighting, and a JBL sound system (speakers only).
