Tata Nexon Dark Edition Creative, Fearless, and More Variants Explained: Which One is Better?

Along with the Tata Harrier and the Safari facelifts, the Dark Edition is finally available for the Nexon and Nexon EV facelifts as well. With this latest addition to the lineup, all of the homegrown automaker's SUV models, except for the Punch, now come in Dark edition versions. The updated Nexon Dark petrol model, which starts at Rs 11.45 lakh (ex-showroom), has a fresh paint job and blacked-out details all around. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom. When it comes to the design cues, the car features a unique Oberon Black exterior paint job with #Dark badges. It also incorporates alloy wheels, roof rails, ORVMs, and a blacked-out front grille. Other than this, the SUV is the same as the standard version.

As far as the interior layout is concerned, the brand has used the same theme as before. Black leatherette seats with Dark badging embroidered on the headrest are among the cabin's all-black aesthetic elements. Tata Nexon Dark Edition: Engine and Gearbox Options

Under the hood, two engine options are available for the Nexon Dark from Tata Motors: a 1.5-litre diesel unit and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol mill. While the latter only has options for an AMT and a six-speed manual transmission, the former can have a six-speed manual, a six-speed AMT, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Tata Nexon Dark Edition: Price and Rival Models

The Nexon Dark Edition, priced between Rs 11.45 lakh and Rs 15.80 lakh, is available starting with the mid-spec Creative trim and is roughly Rs 35,000 more expensive than the model on which it is based. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures. In the domestic market, this special edition competes with the top-of-the-line variants of the Hyundai Venue N Line and the Kia Sonet X Line.
