Updated MG Gloster SUV to be launched on August 31 in India

Before the company debuts the facelifted Hector in India, it is planning to launch the updated Gloster on August 31 in India. The car is expected to come with additional features and a few cosmetic changes on the outside. Here's everything you need to know about the car.

Before the new Hector, MG is all set to launch the updated Gloster SUV in India.

Ahead of its official debut in India, MG has teased the upcoming new Gloster in India. The car is seen to come with ADAS features and will be launched in India on August 31. On social media along with the teaser, the company wrote “The power of 4x4. The protection of ADAS. The Advanced Gloster is coming to leave its mark on the road and on your mind.”

The seven-seater SUV was launched in India in 2020 at a starting price of Rs 37.28 lakh (ex-showroom). The car is already offered with the brand’s ADAS safety net, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, automatic parking assist, Forward Collision Warning Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection and Lane Departure Warning. 

In terms of powertrain, the car is expected to continue with the 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, which will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine puts out 215bhp and 480Nm of torque. In the upcoming version, the car will also likely get seven different 4x4 driving modes including Snow, Sand, Mud, Rock, Sport, Eco and Auto. 

Apart from the elaborate safety net, the car also comes with a host of creature comfort features like driver seat massage function, heated driver and front passenger seats, panoramic sunroof, and an extensive touchscreen infotainment system with iSmart function that brings 70 connected features.

Apart from the Gloster, the company is also all set to drive in the facelifted Hector SUV in India soon, which is expected to come with a host of major changes in India.
