Bajaj Auto Domestic 2W Year-over-Year Sales Drop 9% in September

Bajaj Auto has disclosed sales numbers for September 2023. In total, the automaker sold 3,27,712 two-wheelers in the previous month, which is a 6% drop from the 3,48,355 units dispatched in September 2022.

Bajaj Auto has revealed its September 2023 sales numbers. The automaker sold a total of 2,02,510 two-wheelers in the domestic market, which is a 9% de-growth from the 2,22,912 units supplied in the same month in 2022. Internationally, Bajaj dispatched 1,25,202 units in the last month compared to 1,25,443 units in September 2022. Overall, the auto giant sold 3,27,712 2Ws in the previous month, which is a 6% decrease in comparison to the 3,48,355 units dispatched in September 2022. In the commercial vehicle market, the company recorded its highest-ever domestic sales in the last month with 50,683 units. This helped the company experience a 60% increase over the 31,752 units delivered in September 2022. However, commercial vehicle exports saw a negligible fall the previous month, with 14,163 units shipped in September 2023 compared to 14,640 units in the same time last year. Overall, commercial vehicle sales stood at 64,846 units in September of this year, marking a 40% increase over the 46,392 units delivered during the same time in 2022.

Bajaj Auto September 2023 Sales: More Highlights

The sales of 2Ws and commercial vehicles fell to 2,53,193 units in the domestic market last month, showing a 1% drop from the 2,54,664 units dispatched in September 2022. Furthermore, exports reduced by 1% in September 2023 to 1,39,365 vehicles from 1,40,083 units the previous month. The automaker sold a total of 3,92,558 vehicles in September 2023, which is a 1% drop from 3,94,747 units delivered in the same month the previous year.

In terms of year-to-date sales, the company reported selling 10,48,251 two-wheelers between April and September 2023, which is a 12% increase in comparison to 9,35,552 units sold in the previous fiscal year. Exports-wise, Bajaj dispatched 7,22,662 units, representing a 22% drop in comparison to vehicles sold between April and September of 2022. The company's YTD total sales of 2W goods amounted to 17,70,913 units, showing a 5% decline from the previous year's sales of 18,66,192 units.

Bajaj Pulsar N150 Launched in India: Key Details

Last month, the Bajaj Pulsar N150 was launched in India for Rs 1.18 lakh. The mechanical components of the bike include a 149.6cc single-cylinder motor and a five-speed gearbox with 14.5bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.5Nm at 6,000rpm. These performance numbers are comparable to those of the Pulsar P150. The motorcycle is offered in three different colours – Racing Red, Ebony Black, and Metallic Pearl White.
