Bajaj Auto Registers 15% Year-on-Year Two-Wheelers Sales Growth in December

Bajaj Auto's cumulative sales (2W and CW) stood at 3,26,806 units in December 2023, showing a significant year-on-year rise of 16% from the same period last year.

The total (2W and CV) sales of Bajaj Auto jumped by 16% in December 2023. A total of 3,26,806 vehicles were sold last month, an increase from 2,81,514 units delivered in December 2022. With 1,90,919 units sold domestically, the company's year-on-year growth stood at 28%, while its total exports rose 2% to 1,35,887 units. Talking about the two-wheeler market, Bajaj Auto achieved notable growth in both local and international markets. It sold 1,58,370 2Ws domestically last month, a rise of 26% from the 1,25,553 units supplied in December 2022. At 1,24,631 units, the exports grew marginally from the previous year's 1,21,499 two-wheelers, showing a 3% year-on-year growth. In December, the company's total 2W sales reached 2,83,001 units, which shows a 15% YoY rise over the 2,47,052 vehicles sold in the same period the year before. Bajaj Auto Sales: Commercial Segment 

In the commercial sector, the automaker witnessed a year-on-year increase of 41%, selling 32,549 domestic units in December 2023 compared to 23,030 vehicles in the same month last year. However, the total sales of commercial vehicles stood at 43,805 units, representing a substantial 27% YoY growth from the 34,462 vehicles delivered in December 2022. When compared to 11,432 units dispatched during the same period last year, the foreign shipments of CVs fell by 2% to 11,256 units in December 2023.

Bajaj Auto Sales: Year-to-Date Sales 

Bajaj Auto locally sold 20,57,393 units in total between April and December 2023, an impressive 29% gain over the 15,91,594 units supplied during the same time a year before. However, the company stated sales of 12,24,964 units in the export segment, a drop of 17% from the 14,76,535 vehicles shipped during April through December in 2022. For both categories, the total year-to-date sales reached 32,82,357 units, demonstrating an increase of 7% over the 30,68,129 units sold between April and December of 2022.
