Honda Cars India Year-on-Year Domestic Sales Dip by 23.93% in February

Honda Cars India currently offers four models: the Amaze, City, City Hybrid, and Elevate, catering to different segments in the market.

Honda Cars India recorded total sales of 10,323 units in February 2025, marking a decline from the previous year. This includes 5,616 units sold in India and 4,707 units exported. In February 2024, the company sold 7,142 units domestically and exported 5,936 units, showing a drop in both markets. The company’s lineup in India includes four models: the Amaze compact sedan, City and City Hybrid premium sedans, and the Elevate SUV.

Mr. Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales said: 'The market conditions have been challenging for the auto industry where we saw reduced momentum in car registrations and difficulties in creating fresh demand during Feb as compared to last year. However, our recent launches of All New Amaze and Special editions of Elevate Black and City Apex with good response from market have helped us to create new excitement in our products and sustain sales in this tough period.

'With new benefits outlined in the Union Budget 2026 to boost overall consumer demand, we hope situation will improve in coming period. On the export front, we continue to post healthy volumes led by strong performance of Elevate and City in export markets.'

New Gen Honda Amaze

To boost sales, Honda has introduced special editions of its popular models, offering fresh designs and features to attract buyers. The Honda City Apex Edition starts at Rs. 13.3 lakh, with design and feature upgrades. The Elevate SUV also received the Signature Black Edition, featuring a sleek, dark-themed interior and exterior. These updates aim to keep Honda’s models competitive in the Indian market.

Honda Cars India has also delivered over 50,000 vehicles equipped with its Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), Honda SENSING. This system uses a wide-angle front camera with advanced detection technology to identify road boundaries, markings, and obstacles. It enhances safety by providing driver alerts and taking automatic actions to prevent collisions.
