Maruti Suzuki kicked off 2025 with record-breaking January sales, delivering 212,251 units, up from 199,364 in January 2024. While the company achieved its highest-ever monthly sales, performance across segments varied. The compact car segment (Baleno, Celerio, and Dzire) recorded strong growth, with January sales rising to 82,241 units from 76,533 in 2024. However, despite this monthly increase, YTD sales declined to 630,889 units, compared to 686,544 last year.
The mini car segment (Alto and S-Presso) saw a decline, with sales dropping to 14,247 units from 15,849 last year. Year-to-date (YTD) sales also fell sharply to 103,889 units, down from 115,483 in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Maruti Suzuki 5-door Jimny Launched In Japan
The India-made, five-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny has officially launched in Japan as the Suzuki Jimny Nomade. Priced between ¥2,651,000 and ¥2,750,000 (approximately Rs 14.86 lakh to Rs 15.41 lakh), it costs about Rs 2.12 lakh more than the Indian model, which starts at Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom).

Manufactured at Maruti Suzuki's Gurugram plant, the Jimny Nomade is exported to nearly 100 countries, proving its strong global appeal as a rugged off-road SUV. This marks a significant milestone for Maruti Suzuki, following the Fronx as the second SUV introduced in Japan in 2024-25.
