We are deeply saddened to report that Mr Rudratej Singh (46), President & CEO, BMW Group India, passed away today in Gurgaon.

Rudy, as he was known, was previously Global President at Royal Enfield, before taking over the reins at BMW on the 1st of August, 2019.

BMW India has been hit with the distressing and shocking news of this nature for the second time this month. Mr Mihir Dayal, Sales Director, passed away on the 7th of April after a fierce battle with cancer.

Our hearts go out to the entire team at BMW, as well as Rudy’s friends and family. Rudy brought a fresh perspective to the automotive industry, as he spent over a dozen years at Unilever. He was very detail-oriented, highly driven, and questioned conventions.

Rudy was a great car, bike and watch guy, and he will be sorely missed.
