The Apache 200 RTR has won the autoX ‘Best of 2016’ award, and rightly so. But this doesn’t come as a surprise, because ever since we got the bike in our long-term fleet we were very confident that it was indeed one of the best bikes launched this year. Everything about the bike is just spot on from the design to the engine. We also had some fun with the bike at the track and it certainly was a joy to ride.

Within the city it also is brilliant because it’s comfortable and handles like a dream. The bike isn’t heavy and the seat is low so you have great control. Even in traffic it’s easy to maneuver and whenever you want to do a quick sprint the throttle responds really well and you accelerate instantly. The engine also feels very good and is very well refined – TVS certainly did a good job in the engineering department.

The only thing which we feel could be better is the bite from the front brake. It really takes time to slow you down and it just doesn’t have the immediate stopping power. Other than that though the Apache 200 RTR certainly is a fantastic machine to own and if you use it as an everyday machine it’s really fun.
