Max Verstappen began the current Formula 1 season with a series of wins, continuing the formidable performance he exhibited in previous seasons. Sergio Pérez closely trails Verstappen as his main rival, while Charles Leclerc leads the standings, closely behind the Red Bull team drivers. The defending champion clinched his second consecutive win of the year in Saudi Arabia, extending his streak to nine victories including results from the previous season. Despite winning 19 out of 22 races in the previous year, this is the first time he has achieved victory in the first two Grands Prix of the season. The third race of the ongoing F1 season, the Australian Grand Prix, will happen this weekend.

You can expect heart-pounding action at every turn of the famous Melbourne track. With Red Bull and Max Verstappen dominating the early stages of the season, it becomes crucial for other drivers and teams to swiftly devise effective strategies to challenge their dominance. F1 Australian Grand Prix: About Albert Park Circuit

F1 Williams

The stunning Albert Park Lake and the Albert Park Circuit set the stage for the Formula One Australian Grand Prix every year. Situated near Melbourne's bustling city centre, this public park undergoes a dramatic annual transformation for this renowned event, a longstanding tradition that goes back to 1996.

The track underwent significant improvements in 2021, which included modifying turn seven, eliminating two corners, expanding the pit lane, and resurfacing the circuit for the first time in 25 years. Lap timings have dropped by around five seconds, given the track's minor 28-metre length reduction from 5.259km to 5.231km along the racing line. On race day, the Australian Grand Prix event will have 58 laps, covering a distance of 306.12km.
