Wraps have been finally taken off the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR for Indian customers. The motorcycle can be purchased in three versions - Standard, Pro, or Pro M Sport. BMW Motorrad has introduced the motorcycle with a boatload of updates. Buyers can anticipate receiving their new sportsbike starting in February 2023. If you are planning to house the new S 1000 RR sportsbike in your garage, then let's go through its top highlights without any further ado.

Mechanical Specifications

The 999cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine with BMW ShiftCam is still included in the mechanical specs. However, the motor now generates a power output of 207bhp at 13,750rpm and 113Nm maximum torque at 11,000rpm. According to the company, updated intake funnels and redesigned intake geometry have made it possible for peak production figures to grow. The model comes paired with a six-speed gearbox. Additionally, it has a top speed of more than 300km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds.

Appearance

The chassis can now bend more laterally. Simply put, the frame of the motorcycle is less rigid than the frame of the older model. The longer wheelbase, now measuring 1,458mm, the 23.6-degree rake angle, and the lengthier tail at 99mm boasts improved stability. The fairing is equipped with conventional sports aero winglets that claim to add 10kg of downforce. The windscreen has also been extended to better wind deflection. The sleek LED headlamp assembly from the previous model is still present. Moreover, this model has received a new rear end. The motorcycle has aluminium wheels covered with 20/70 R17 (front) and 190/55 R17 (rear) tyres. However, the Pro M Sport model has carbon fibre wheels along with a number of additional parts that make use of lightweight components.
