The 2023 BMW S 1000 RR will be offered in three variants-Standard, Pro, and Pro M Sport.

BMW Motorrad has officially launched the new S 1000 RR for the Indian market. The motorcycle has been introduced with a price tag of ₹20.25 lakh. The Pro and Pro M Sport models are priced at ₹22.15 lakh and ₹24.45 lakh, respectively. Just a few days ago, the firm showcased its flagship motorcycle at the recently held 2022 India Bike Week in Goa.

In terms of powertrain, the S 1000 RR has been updated significantly from the current version for its 2023 iteration. The peak torque from its 999cc inline-four cylinder engine is now rated at 113Nm at 11,000rpm, and the power output has increased to 206bhp at 13,750rpm. The engine can reach 14,600rpm, which is a high rev range. While the torque output remains unchanged, the power output has improved by 3bhp. By tweaking the design of the intake funnels and introducing new intake geometry, BMW has been able to bring about this improvement in the power output.

Coming to the exterior of the motorcycle, the BMW S 1000 RR receives numerous updates for the new version. While the supersport's aggressive and track-ready design will remain in place for 2023 as well, aero winglets are now standard. The addition of 10kgs of downforce keeps the S 1000 RR grounded during rapid acceleration. In order to increase wind deflection while tucked in, the windscreen has also been lengthened. BMW has also experimented with the swingarm, which now features a movable pivot for customisable height and comfort. However, the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR additionally has a 46-teeth rear sprocket instead of the standard 45-teeth one. Moreover, the number plate holder is now shorter. An endurance seat and a new hump cover are also available as accessories.

Feature-wise, the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR includes Slide Control in addition to riding modes, traction control, a quick-shifter, a 6.5-inch TFT screen, a new rev counter display, a pitlane limiter, and more. Along with a USB charging port, the S 1000 RR is also equipped with the hill-hold assist feature.
