A tweet from Anand Mahindra on Christmas day hints at future motorcycles from BSA Company.

On December 25, 2017, Anand Mahindra tweeted an old Christmas poster of Santa Claus riding a motorcycle with the tagline ‘I've retired my reindeer and sold my sleigh, I get around quicker by B.S.A.’. Along with the image, Anand Mahindra posted the following from his Twitter account: ‘We're sorry you've missed out on your favourite ride for all these years, Santa...We're working on getting it back for you...A shiny new one, but with all the character of your old steed...’

Last year, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) acquired Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA), while Classic Legends Pvt Ltd, an arm of M&M, also acquired shares of BSA. Anand Mahindra’s subtle tweet now hints at the fact that Mahindra is actively working on resurrecting the old British motorcycle brand whose operations ceased in 1972. Currently, there are no further details available on the progress of the project. In October 2016, M&M had announced that they had acquired the rights to the Jawa brand to bring the Yezdi bikes on Indian roads. In October 2014, M&M had also acquired a majority stake in Peugeot Moto Wheels.
