Auto Expo 2023: The Liger X and the Liger X+, two new self-balancing electric scooters from the Mumbai-based startup Liger Mobility, were introduced on Day 2 of the Auto Expo. Both products use a lithium-ion battery pack, although the Liger X has a detachable one whereas the Liger X+ does not. Both come equipped with the firm's patented AutoBalancing technology, which enables the e-scooters to maintain their upright position from a standing start and even at slow speeds without the rider using their feet to stabilise it. This also applies to the scooters' ability to reverse. Once the scooter reaches a certain speed, the rider can manually turn off the AutoBalancing feature. The Liger X and Liger X+ also have a learner mode that, when used with the AutoBalancing function, enables the user to restrict the top speed of the e-scooter. Also available to the models are OTA (Over The Air) software updates.

A replaceable lithium-ion battery pack for the Liger X can be fully charged in 3 hours. It has a top speed of 65km/h and a range of 60 kilometres on a single charge as claimed by the manufacturer. In comparison, the Liger X+ claims to have a 100 kilometres range and employs a non-removable battery pack that can be fully charged in 4.5 hours.

By connecting the Liger X+ to a smartphone via the exclusive app, additional features like notification alerts and turn-by-turn navigation are made available on the TFT dash. Features like live position tracking, battery temperature indication, towing, and accident notifications are shared by both scooters. The same five colour choices for both are Grey, Polar White, Blue, Titanium, and Red.
