Changes to the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift will primarily be cosmetic, but it will also include some new features like cruise control and more. Expect the 2021 Swift to be priced around Rs 20,000-40,000 more than before
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for its first product launch of the year. The Manesar-based carmaker has now listed the 2021 Swift on its official website, hinting that it will be launched in the weeks to come. Given that the refreshed Swift will be a facelift of the current-gen model, changes are likely to be primarily cosmetic. In that regard, the 2021 Swift will feature a new honeycomb grille with a chrome strikethrough that runs along its width. Maruti Suzuki has also just released a teaser of the upcoming hatchback. While the video doesn’t reveal much, we know that the 2021 model will come with a contrast black roof and possibly, ORVM casings as well. The updated 2021 model will also come with cruise control.
Changes to the interior design are expected to be minimal. It will continue with the same SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system, a coloured multi-information driver display and more. The 2021 Swift will continue to offer fabric upholstery, automatic headlamps, climate control, push-button stop/button start and more.
Though it will continue with the same 1.2-litre litre petrol engine, the updated model is likely to feature an idle start-stop function. Expect the 2021 Swift to be priced roughly Rs 20,000-40,000 more than the current model. Maruti has already revised the prices of all its models by around 1-6% at the start of the year.
