Volvo is bringing in the updated version of the XC60 to the Indian market. The key highlight of the new crossover-SUV will be an all-new powertrain.

Earlier this year, Volvo showcased the updated 2022 XC60 for the international market. The crossover-SUV sported a few styling updates, advanced electronics and a plug-in hybrid petrol engine. Volvo India is now gearing up to launch the updated Volvo XC60 in the Indian market and the carmaker has already given out teasers on social media. The new 2022 XC60 will have a refreshed exterior i.e restyled bumpers on either end, a new grille, alloy wheel design and colour options.

The interior also gets minor tweaks and the main highlight of the 2022 Volvo XC60 is an Android-powered infotainment system. Google services include maps, hands-free help with assistants along with Google’s app services. However, it is too soon to confirm if the SUV will break cover will all the said features as Volvo has stated that these services will be limited by region. Also, the crossover SUV will get Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for added safety. The ADAS is likely to feature vehicle detection, automatic braking and a driving support system i.e a Pilot Assist.

Volvo XC60 2022 Update

Volvo will replace the outgoing XC60’s diesel mill with a 2.0-litre plug-in hybrid turbo-petrol motor. There will also be variants available with a mild-hybrid powertrain. Currently, Volvo hasn’t confirmed the power figures but it could range between 242bhp and 315bhp.
