The bi-turbo V6 powered Audi RS5 Coupe has arrived with a glorious set of 450 ponies.

Audi has introduced a new member to their range of performance cars on offer in India with the launch of the RS5 Coupe.

The RS5 joins the Audi performance range which includes the S5, the RS7 Sportback, RS7 Performance, RS6 Avant and the 601bhp R8 V10 Plus. The RS5 is powered by a 2.9-litre, bi-turbo V6 engine which can generate up to 443bhp and a maximum torque output of 600Nm which is 170Nm more than the old RS5. The new car is also 60kilograms lighter than the previous generation.

The engine comes mated to an eight-speed tiptronic torque converter gearbox which sends power to all four wheels through the Quattro all-wheel drive system with a self-locking centre differential and ESC with torque vectoring. 0-100km/h takes just 3.9 seconds while the car is electronically limited to a top speed of 250km/h.

As for the suspension, the RS5 Coupe in India will be offered with the RS Sports Suspension that uses five-link front and rear setup. It will also come with Standard dynamic steering, dynamic handling system, and Audi drive select all as standard equipment.

The Audi RS5 Coupe is priced at Rs 1.1 crore and is a direct rival to the BMW M4 Coupe which currently has a price tag of 1.33 crore. From the Mercedes-Benz stable, the Indian market only gets the C63S AMG four-door sedan which is priced at Rs 1.41 crore.
