Thirty-nine new cars and SUVs launched in the past year (everything from the Jeep Compass to the Maruti Suzuki Ignis) battled it out to be crowned the ‘Best of 2017’ – an accolade reserved only for the absolute best of the year, the top-ten as it were!

Here are the top-ten cars and bikes of the year.

Thirty-nine new cars and SUVs – everything from the Jeep Compass to the Maruti Suzuki Ignis – and eighteen bikes and scooters – ranging from the Ducati Supersport to the Honda Cliq – that were launched in the past year fought with courage for our the ‘Best of 2017’ crown – an accolade presented to only the very bests of the year!

Each of these machines proved its mettle at the Buddh International Circuit – they were evaluated and tested for over three days by an experienced team of road testers. Every machine was rated out of a total score of 100 in terms of quality, practicality, drivetrain, design, value-for-money, ride-and-handling, and more.

After extensive testing, the machines that qualified for the ‘Best of 2017’ are:

Four-Wheel

  • Jeep Compass
  • Skoda Octavia RS
  • Audi A5 Sportback
  • Hyundai Verna
  • Maruti Suzuki DZire

Performance Car of the Year – Nissan GT-R.

Two-Wheel

  • Triumph Street Triple
  • Honda Africa Twin
  • Harley-Davidson Street Rod

Performance Bike of the Year – Ducati SuperSport S
