BMW M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition launched in India at Rs 68.90 lakh

Celebrating 50 years of M division, BMW has launched the M340i 50 Jahre Edition in India. The cars will be locally assembled at the company's plant outside Chennai. It comes with subtle distinguishing cosmetic elements, both on the inside as well as outside.

The BMW M340i xDrive 50 Jahre Edition celebrated 50 years of the M division under BMW's belt. The car comes with a host of design elements both on the outside as well as outside.

BMW has launched the M340i 50 Jahre Edition in India. The price for the car starts at Rs 68.90 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The 50 Jahre edition celebrates 50 years of the M division in India and will be locally assembled at the company’s plant outside of Chennai.

At its heart, the M340i 50 Jahre edition gets the same six-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine producing 387bhp and 500Nm of torque through an eight-speed automatic transmission with xDrive system as standard.

On the outside, the 50 Jahre edition gets several subtle distinguishing cues including a high-gloss black kidney grille, elements in Jet-black including window surround, mirror caps and 19-inch M light-alloy wheels. BMW has also fitted 50 Jahre M roundel in front rear and wheel hub caps. The car will come in two crocodilian options including Dravit Grey and Tanzanite Blue.

On the inside, the car gets sports seats with M-specific upholstery in a Sensatec/Alcantara trim. Also, ok offer is Anthracite BMW Individual roof liner, M leather steering wheel, M seat belt and interior Individual trim strips in Piano Black.

The 50-year accessories come in two different packages - Motorsport Pack and Carbon Pack. The Motorsport pack comes with an M Performance steering wheel, gear knob in Alcantara and rear spoiler in matte black. Meanwhile, the Carbon pack includes interior trims in carbon fibre, M performance steering wheel, selector gear knob in carbon fibre and rear spoiler in carbon Fiber.

BMW India has announced that it will also introduce dedicated M Certified Dealerships in India where enthusiasts will find everything M under one roof.
