The successor to the Bugatti Chiron hypercar will make its debut in 2024, as confirmed by the French luxury car manufacturer. The new flagship hypercar will enter production in 2026. The Bugatti Chiron with an 8-litre, W16 quad turbo Bugatti engine has almost reached the end of its journey, with the next-generation model currently under development. This comes after Achim Anscheidt announced his decision to step down as Bugatti's director of design. Anscheidt has been the director of design at Bugatti for about 19 years and was in charge of special-edition Veyrons, such as the Super Sport, Grand Sport Vitesse, the Hermes, and more. Then, there is the Chiron hypercar, Centodieci, Bolide, Divo, the Mistral, and more. In addition, he was also the brains behind several Bugatti concepts that never made it to the production stage.

And now, Chiron's successor will carry on Anscheidt's legacy. The new model will be equipped with a hybrid powertrain, but we do not know whether the successor model will be making use of the iconic W16 engine to perform its duties. Bugatti is fairly mum about the model's design and other powertrain details.
Bugatti Chiron's Successor: To Retain Brand's Signature Design Elements
In an interview, Achim Anscheidt confirmed that the successor model will continue to maintain Bugatti's signature design elements, including a horseshoe grille and a prominent Bugatti beltline that has been a part of every Bugatti since the Type 57 of 1934. Owing to a hybridised V8 powertrain, the upcoming model will be based on a lighter chassis as opposed to the current Bugatti Mistral roadster.

According to industry reports, the interior of the successor will not undergo a major revamp, instead, the successor will resemble the company's current products. A larger central infotainment system is likely on the cards.
Frank Heyl: Bugatti's New Design Director
Frank Hey has been appointed as the successor to Achim Anscheidt. Frank has been associated with Bugatti for about 15 years. Frank joined the company in 2008 and worked on several projects, such as the Veyron Super Sport, Chiron, Divo, and the company's Vision Gran Turismo. As a new director of design, Frank will continue to work with Anscheidt, who will don the hat of an advisor to Mate Rimac, CEO, Bugatti Rimac.
