Bugatti just unveiled a unique iteration of the Chiron Super Sport, named the "Golden Era," in anticipation of the upcoming Monterey Car Week. This artistic creation serves as a homage to Bugatti's most notable achievements and signifies the conclusion of the manufacturing of the renowned W16 engine. The vehicle is adorned with a distinctive paint scheme that required more than 400 hours to meticulously execute. The original 'Golden Era' theme is featured on the passenger side, while the later era is shown on the driver's side, both of which are references to Bugattis from the time of Ettore, Jean, and Roland Bugatti as well as the EB110 from the 1980s and other historical aspects of the Bugatti tale. The design team at Bugatti has directly hand-drawn a total of forty-five designs onto the car's body.

Bugatti Chiron Golden Era: Exterior Design
The paint style of the car consists of two colours, namely a unique shade of gold referred to as 'Dore' by Bugatti, which gradually transitions into a metallic rendition of the company's Nocturne Black. The designers utilised identical black paint for their sketches. The sketches were done using what Bugatti calls "a brand-new technique," which consisted of employing pens similar to those used by designers when sketching on paper.
Achim Anscheidt, former Bugatti Design Director in charge of this creation explains, "Our customers can be incredibly creative and we take great pride in helping them realize what they dream of, but extensive special commissions such as this are exceedingly rare – we usually see no more than one or two creations on this scale each year."
Bugatti Chiron Golden Era: Interior
The inside of the vehicle has notable characteristics, including the manual application of the visages of three distinct Buggati models onto the door cards, which are upholstered in leather. On the driver's side, there are notable vehicles such as the EB110, Veyron, and Chiron. On the passenger side, one may find esteemed models including the Type 35 racing car, the Type 57 SC Atlantic, and the Type 41 Royale.
The cabin exhibits a harmonious combination of two distinct hues of leather, elegantly integrated with matte carbon-fibre accents. Additionally, the seats of the vehicle include intricate stitching that is reminiscent of the esteemed "Golden Era." The central console proudly displays unique lettering denoting its exclusivity as a one-of-a-kind model. Furthermore, the side sills of the car bear the handwritten names of the active periods of Bugatti, adding a personal touch to its design.

Bugatti Chiron Golden Era: Engine
The Chiron Super Sport serves as the basis for the Golden Era, which is powered by a monstrous 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine capable of producing 1,500bhp and 1,600Nm of torque. The mill is coupled with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The hypercar exhibits a top speed of 380kh/h.
"A very important customer came to us and during our conversations, he expressed that he believed the Chiron Super Sport and its W16 engine represented a landmark moment in the world of the automobile. He wanted to do something truly unique in celebration. We looked back through Bugatti history to find a number of these landmark moments, including the times of Ettore Bugatti, Jean Bugatti and Roland Bugatti, which really marked the first golden era for the brand," Anscheid added.
This August, at Monterey Car Week, the new owner will be presented with the keys to their brand-new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era. The price of this one-off Bugatti Chiron is yet to be revealed.
