The Hyundai i20 N, the first N Line car from Hyundai, which will break cover tomorrow,  has been spotted at a dealership ahead of its India debut.

Hyundai India has confirmed that the brand will introduce its sporty N Line range of cars, and the first one of the lot will be the Hyundai i20 N Line. The new sporty hatchback is all set to break cover tomorrow, i.e. August 24, 2021.

Ahead of its launch, a lightly camouflaged i20 N Line was spotted at a Hyundai dealership. The new i20 N Line will get an aggressive bumper design – with side skirts – to suit its sporty credentials. Also, the dual-tip exhaust adds to the sporty appearance of the hatchback.

The cabin is expected to get a touch of sportiness in terms of colour choices and highlights. Expect a few N Line badge to embellish both the exterior and the interior. Hyundai will equip the i20 N Line with 17-inch wheels – the largest in the segment.

The new Hyundai i20 N Line will be based on the top-spec Asta variant of the standard hatchback. The mechanicals will be carried over from the standard car as well. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol from the i20 will be offered in the same state of tune – 118bhp and 172Nm. The six-speed iMT will be a standard offering, while the higher variants of the i20 N Line will get the same seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that is found in the standard i20 and the Venue.

In terms of features, the i20 N Line will have all the in-cabin features of the standard i20 hatchback. The Asta (O) variant of the Hyundai i20 is priced at Rs 11.40 lakh (ex-showroom), and the i20 N Line is likely to cost a bit more. Expect the pricing of the Hyundai i20 N Line to fall in the Rs 12 – 13 lakh (ex-showroom) range.
